Stefania Fernandez, won the Miss Venezuela 2008 title in Caracas, Venezuela last year. During the same event she won the "Best Face", "Miss Elegance" and "Best Body" titles. Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008 (another Venezuelan) crowned The 18-year-old as Miss Universe 2009, marking the first time that the same country has won the title in consecutive years. Venezuela, has won the Miss Universe pageant six times.
